Before you start lobbying for my execution, let me explain. I admire his politics, I admire his social commitment and I think he was one of the handsomest men in the history of the world. As a movie star, yes, total charisma. Deserves to be in the pantheon of the Gods of Cinema. But I really liked him better as an actor as he aged. I loved him in The Road To Perdition, a very underrated movie. He was great chomping the scenery in The Verdict, but he wasn't always great when he was younger. He was very acty. Actor's studio acty.
